Adebayo Azeez

His experience in corporate legal practice commenced from the Legal Department of Union Bank Plc through First Atlantic Bank Plc and IMB International Bank where he acquired requisite experience in security perfection, litigation monitoring, company secretarial practice, debt recovery and credit administration & appraisal.
Mr. Azeez had a stint with Mobitel Limited (a private telecommunications operator in Lagos) as a Legal Manager before he joined Globacom Limited as a Pioneer staff in 2003. He contributed to the set-up of the Legal Department of the Company and provided legal support to Globacom Limited in the area of Contract Administration, Property Management, Dispute Resolution and Regulatory & Compliance.
Mr. Azeez has served as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to Phase3 Telecom Limited, a telecommunication infrastructure development company based in Abuja deploying fiber optic transmission services on powerlines. He provided legal and regulatory support towards the West Africa expansion vision of the Company. His extensive contribution to the development of the business resulted in his elevation as Director, Legal & Regulatory Services leading to becoming the Executive Director – Corporate Services with responsibilities for management of legal, regulatory, human capital and corporate administration for the company.
Mr. Azeez is a graduate of law from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He passed out with a Second Class (Upper Division) from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos after which he was called to the Nigerian Bar. He further pursued academic excellence in the field of Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos where he bagged an LL.M degree. He holds an Executive Certificate in Mini-MBA for Corporate Counsel from Boston University, USA among other local and international trainings.
He is hands-on on human recourses management and corporate services with innate ability to bring cohesion, meaning and coherence to company management and leadership. Mr. Azeez is listed as one of the most influential and innovative Corporate Counsel in Africa by The Legal 500 – www.thelegal500.com.
Mr. Azeez is well read and has participated in series of Seminars, Workshops and Trainings. He has an undoubted gift to teach and has ability to motivate others to excel. He has been privileged to speak at Christian and Secular fora to impact knowledge, challenge and exhort. He is currently working on publications related to Career Development, Telecommunication Law and Christian Services.
